For fun!

8. Whoever has read the book or more on Harry Potter knows there were four houses at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Try on the Sorting Hat and see to which house do you belong.

9. And this is your final task. It is your personality that put you into a certain house. Comment here:

a) To which house were you sorted?

b) What are you like? Use sentences with adjectives that describe your personality.

c) Describe one of your friends or enemies - someone with a completely different personality then you. What is he or she like?

Let's read!

5. Read the following statements:

Now read the article. Connect the statements to the paragraphs in the first part of the article. Post the right order in comments.

6. Talk to your schoolfriend next to you. Compete with him or her. Take turns and let each of you tell one information about the woman you have read about. The younger one starts. The one who tells the last detail is a winner.

7. Use the worksheet and turn it over. Write down the numbers 1-5. Read the questions below and then write answers to your work sheet. Use the whole sentences. If you have problems, read the article again.

1. What school did she visit?
2. Where did the first of Harry Potter books begin?
3. Where was her first child born?
4. When was Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone published?
5. What books did she write apart seven Harry Potter books?

It is Tuesday!

I am sure you have finished your first task. So, take your copy of a worksheet out of your school bags and place it on your desk. You will also need a pen. On the right side of the blog you see some links to the dictionaries. They might be a great help. Good luck!

Your tasks for todays lesson:

2. Follow the instruction on the worksheet.
3. Now listen and watch the Harry Potter music video. Pay attention to the characters in the video.

4. Take the worksheet again now and tick the characters you have seen in the video. You can add some more. Do you miss anyone in the video? Who? Post a comment.

Tongue twisters

I have come across some tongue twisters. I thought you might like it. They are great to practice and improve your pronunciation. Well here are the two.

Betty Botter had some butter, "But," she said, "this butter's bitter. If I bake this bitter butter, it would make my batter bitter. But a bit of better butter - that would make my batter better."
So she bought a bit of butter, better than her bitter butter, and she baked it in her batter, and the batter was not bitter. So 'twas better Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter.
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?
I wonder if you can find some more and what do you think about them.
